When you use the App, we may collect:

• Parent Information: Name; email address (via a supported email provider such as Gmail, Outlook, Apple, or others we may add).
• Child Information (entered by you): Child's name; class/section; teacher's name and email (optional).
• School Communications: Emails received from school-related domains specified by you, including attachments and links contained in those emails (e.g., PDFs, Word docs, images).
• User-Uploaded Content: Birthday invitations, notes, screenshots (including WhatsApp screenshots), or images you upload.
• App Metadata: Device information, log data, and calendar sync data (if enabled).

We use your data to:

• Extract, summarise, and categorise school notices, events, and deadlines.
• Provide periodic digests (currently once per day, typically in the evening) and weekly overviews (e.g., on weekends) so you can see what's ahead.
• Create reminders and calendar entries.
• Enable you to upload and manage personal notes or event-related content.
• Secure and improve the App.

• We process children's details only when entered by a parent or legal guardian.
• This information is considered sensitive under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 (PDPL).
• We obtain explicit parental consent each time you add a child profile.
• You may withdraw consent by deleting the child profile or contacting us.

We process your data on the basis of:

• Your consent (inbox access, per-child consent, uploads, notifications).
• Necessity to provide the service you request.

Some schools use third-party systems (e.g., Toddle, ManageBac).

• SchoolRun does not directly integrate with or authenticate into these platforms.
• We only process emails, attachments, and links contained in your inbox.
• If a document requires login, we will display the link but will not access it.

You may upload content (e.g., birthday invitations, screenshots, images, notes).

• You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload this content.
• Do not upload unlawful, offensive, or infringing material.
• Uploaded content is processed solely to help you organise events.
• You can delete uploaded content at any time.

• Daily Digest: Processed on a periodic basis (currently once per day, typically in the evening).
• Weekly Overview: We may send a weekly notification (e.g., on Sundays or weekends) with upcoming events.
• You may manage preferences in the App settings or opt out where applicable.

• We retain data only as long as necessary to provide the service or as required by law.
• Attachments from third-party platforms (e.g., Toddle, ManageBac) are not stored by SchoolRun. We only display the link already provided in your email.
• Attachments sent directly by email (e.g., PDFs, Word docs, images) may be stored temporarily in order to display them within your notification cards. These files are automatically deleted after 7 days, and only the structured details (event name, date, link) are kept.
• You may request deletion at any time.

Processing may involve providers outside the UAE (e.g., Google, OpenAI, hosting providers). We implement safeguards consistent with PDPL for cross-border transfers.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data. No method is 100% secure.

Mosaic-Lifestyle, trading as SchoolRun ("we", "us", "our"), is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how SchoolRun accesses, uses, and manages Gmail data when you connect your Google account to our application.

1. Google User Data Access

When you sign in with Google, SchoolRun requests limited access to your Gmail account through Google's OAuth 2.0 protocol.

We access only the following information:

• Your Google account email address (for authentication).
• Email metadata — sender, subject, date, and school domain (e.g., @jbschool.ae, @toddleapp.com).
• Email content and attachments — only from school-related domains specified by the user.

SchoolRun does not access your full inbox, contacts, or any personal/non-school emails.

2. How We Use Gmail Data

We use Gmail data solely to help parents organise school-related communications. Specifically:

• To identify and extract messages sent from school domains.
• To display those communications in the SchoolRun interface for the parent's convenience.
• To help create structured summaries of events, notices, and reminders within the app.

We do not use Gmail data for advertising, analytics, profiling, or marketing.

3. Data Sharing

• We do not share Gmail data with any third parties.
• In some cases, limited data may be processed by secure service providers (e.g., cloud hosting or email parsing tools) strictly to provide the SchoolRun service.
• All such providers operate under confidentiality and data protection agreements.

4. Data Storage & Protection

• Gmail data is handled securely using industry-standard safeguards.
• Access is restricted to authorised processes required to operate the app.
• SchoolRun does not store full Gmail messages indefinitely. Only structured event details (such as event name, date, or link) are retained for display to the user.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

• Gmail data retrieved by SchoolRun is processed temporarily to extract key details and then deleted automatically within 7 days.
• Users may delete all retained data at any time by deleting their account or by contacting [email protected].
• Upon account deletion, all stored Gmail-derived data is permanently erased within 7 days.

6. Compliance with Google API Services User Data Policy

SchoolRun's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
