When you use the App, we may collect:

• Parent Information: Name and SchoolRun email address used to create your SchoolRun account
• Child Information (entered by you): Child's name; class/section; teacher's name and email (optional).
• School Communications (Forwarded by You): Emails and attachments that you forward to your dedicated SchoolRun email address from your personal email account, including PDFs, images, and links contained in those forwarded emails.
• User-Uploaded Content: Birthday invitations, notes, screenshots (including WhatsApp screenshots), or images you upload.
• App Metadata: Technical and usage-related information generated when you use the App, such as app version, log data (e.g., timestamps of app access, feature usage, error logs, and diagnostic information). This data is used solely to operate, secure, and improve the App and does not include the contents of your personal email inbox.

• Extract, summarise, and categorise school-related information from forwarded emails and uploaded content into notices, tasks, events, and deadlines.
• Provide periodic digests (daily and weekly summaries).
• Create reminders and calendar entries.
• Enable you to upload and manage personal notes or event-related content.

• We process children's details only when entered by a parent or legal guardian.
• Children's personal data is treated with heightened care and processed solely for the purpose of providing the service. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without parental involvement.
• You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting the child profile or contacting us.

• Your explicit consent when you forward emails, upload content, or add child profiles.
• Necessity to provide the service you request (organisation and summarisation of forwarded content).

Some schools use third-party systems (e.g., Toddle, ManageBac).

• SchoolRun does not access, connect to, authenticate into, monitor, or scan your email inbox.
• We only process emails and attachments that you deliberately forward to your SchoolRun email address.
• SchoolRun does not scrape, retrieve, or fetch emails from any email provider or school platform.
• If a document requires login to a third-party system, we will display the link as received but will not access the content behind the login.

You may upload content (e.g., birthday invitations, screenshots, images, notes).

• You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload this content.
• Do not upload unlawful, offensive, or infringing material.
• Uploaded content is processed solely to help you organise events.
• You can delete uploaded content at any time.

• Digests and notifications are generated solely from content you have forwarded or uploaded to SchoolRun.
• You may manage preferences in the App settings or opt out where applicable.

• SchoolRun only retains data derived from emails and files that you have explicitly forwarded or uploaded.
• Attachments from third-party platforms (e.g., Toddle, ManageBac) are not stored by SchoolRun. We only display the link already provided in your email.
• You may request deletion at any time.

Processing may involve service providers located in different countries (e.g., cloud hosting providers and AI service providers). We implement appropriate safeguards for cross-border data transfers in accordance with applicable data protection requirements.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data. No method is 100% secure.
